And we’re off!!!!

So here we go!

After weeks of packing boxes and selling our worldly possessions online and to some very interesting characters at car boot sales, the day has come. We are back on the road and on route to our first stop in the south of England - Aunty Kaths!

Just been flicking back through my past blogs and reminiscing about all the amazing places I’ve already been and realising how grateful I am that THIS trip will be as a duo! Hopefully I will be able to talk Wout into posting too to give his perspective on our adventures!

Looking back at my Nepal blog posts has also gotten me so excited that we will be back there in only a few weeks and not only will I be able to see my Nepalese family again and meet the youngest family member Putal (who was just a baby in her mums tummy last time I was there) but I also cannot wait to introduce Wout to them and to the beautiful part of the world they call home.
It’s been almost 10 years since I had to say my goodbyes after 3 months living in the foothills of the Himalayas and I am beyond excited to get back there!!!

However we’ve quite a lot happening before we board that plane to Kathmandu - starting with our mini European road trip with my Dad in his and Mums Motor home.

As I type we are just making our way over Woodhead through the rolling hills and reservoirs - a nice little reminder and last appreciation for the stunning beauty we have right here on our doorstep in the north west of England.

We’re making our way toward Stevenage where we will stay the night with my Aunty and family before heading further south ready to take the Euro Tunnel on Monday and make our way to Bruges!!!!

I’m going to Bruges -Finally - after I promised myself back in 2008 when I watched the Film IN Bruges that one day I would go there and now 11 years later it’s happening!

After Bruges we will do a little day trip through the Netherlands before landing with Wouts family where we will stay (in a caravan) until our flight on the 27th Oct. I also have managed to squeeze in a little extra 5 days trip to Malta in between to visit my best mate who lives there!!

As hard as it has been to say goodbye to friends and family over the past weeks those of you who know me know it’s never goodbye forever - only see you soon! The most difficult goodbyes today were to the Doggos and Sally Cat and especially to Jasmine who is 14 and not so well but I made sure we had a big cuddle and selfie before we left.

Thank you Rob and Marie for our amazing gifts (Chrome luggage tags with our names engraved)
We absolutely ❤️ them.

Xxx
